Beaver Born for Origins: Legacy 26.1.2

Original origin by Overgrown: https://www.planetminecraft.com/data-pack/beaver-born-origin-origins-fabric/

Port of the archive supplied by the user. Requires Origins: Legacy.

Preserved abilities:

  • Primary: nine-slot mouth inventory; items remain after death
  • Secondary: Speed I and Regeneration I for 30 seconds; five-minute cooldown
  • Dolphin's Grace III underwater
  • Haste near wood, with the original nine-block search radius
  • Strength I
  • Mining Fatigue III when a full stack of a supported log is in the inventory
  • Hidden original penalties: four fewer health points and increased exhaustion

Compatibility changes:

  • Pack format 101.1 and singular vanilla tag directories
  • Object-form origin icon and modern max-health attribute
  • Full-stack checks use native item conditions instead of obsolete Inventory NBT
  • Rage uses native effect actions instead of privileged commands

The supported log list and balance match the supplied archive. New wood types have not been added.

Install beaver_origin_v1.zip from the release into world/datapacks, then reload server data. Client-side gameplay testing is separate from server load validation.

v1.2: extra breath reserve

Adds a 300-tick reserve, giving 15 extra seconds underwater at normal tick rate without Respiration or other breathing bonuses. The reserve offsets one point of air loss per tick while submerged and refills at four points per tick out of water. Its remaining capacity is shown on a separate HUD bar. Existing abilities are unchanged.

v1.3: herbivore

Prevents eating meat, rabbit stew and foods included in the common meat tags. The restriction checks that the item is food, so tools, milk and potions remain usable. Fish is unchanged. Existing abilities, including the breath reserve, are retained.
