ManyIdeas Halloween: Fabric
Standalone fork for Minecraft 26.1.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.5+ and Java 25. Requires Fabric API. Install the same jar on the client and server. ManyIdeasCore and NeoForge are not required or supported.
Original mod by GeheimagentNr1, artwork by Muse31. See NOTICE.md and LICENSE for provenance and retained upstream terms.
Decorations
- Autumn leaves carpet
- Gravestone
- Hay bundle
- Pitchfork
- Pumpkin lantern, standing or hanging, light level 15
- Scarecrow
- Decorative skeleton
- Plush spider, with 24 surface orientations
- Decorative spiderweb, without collision
- Wheat wreath
The original models, textures, five-variant decorations and directional outlines are retained. Models use Minecraft 26.1's automatic sprite transparency handling. The creative tab contains all ten items. English and Russian names are included. Autumn leaves carpet is compostable at the original 3.75% chance.
Hay bundles and scarecrows use the vanilla two-half lifecycle. They need a solid floor and two free blocks of height. Both halves share orientation and appearance. Breaking either half in survival drops one item; creative drops none. Removing the floor removes both halves. Pistons cannot move them, and fluids cannot replace their parts. Original-world migration is outside this fork's scope.
Recipes
All recipes use vanilla ingredients and work without the original Core workbench.
Shaped patterns below use / to separate rows; . denotes an empty slot.
- Autumn leaves carpet: shapeless, any leaves + orange dye, yields 8
- Gravestone: stone in a stonecutter, yields 1
- Hay bundle: shapeless, 3 wheat
- Pitchfork:
.II/.SI/S.., I = iron ingot, S = stick - Pumpkin lantern: shapeless, carved pumpkin + torch + iron nugget
- Scarecrow:
.P./SHS/.S., P = carved pumpkin, H = hay block, S = stick - Skeleton: shapeless, 4 bones
- Plush spider:
SWS/WWW/SWS, S = string, W = black wool - Spiderweb: shapeless, 4 string
- Wheat wreath:
.W./W.W/.W., W = wheat
Build
JAVA_HOME=/path/to/jdk-25 ./gradlew build
Release jars are written to build/libs/. Use the jar without the -sources
suffix. No jar files are committed to this repository.
Runtime checks
The separate smokeTest source set is never packaged in the release jar.
It checks real item placement, all blockstate outlines, both halves' destruction
and loot in survival and creative, blocked headroom, floor removal, creative-tab
contents and recipe registration on a dedicated Fabric server.
mkdir -p build/smoke-server
printf 'eula=true\n' > build/smoke-server/eula.txt
JAVA_HOME=/path/to/jdk-25 ./gradlew runSmokeServer
The server stops after printing HALLOWEEN_SMOKE_PASS or
HALLOWEEN_SMOKE_FAIL. Check that marker: a normal server shutdown alone does
not indicate success.
./gradlew smokeTestJar builds a development-only test mod in build/test-mods/.
When installed alongside the release jar in an isolated client, it checks every
blockstate model and its baked face textures, then prints HALLOWEEN_CLIENT_PASS
and exits. Do not distribute or install the test mod in a regular modpack.
